ADAC Cyclassics Hamburg 2027

How to prepare: 12-week plan

To be ready on the start line, begin specific training by Sunday, 23 May 2027. The dates below are counted back from race day.

1. 23 May 2027 → 26 June 2027 · 12 to 8 weeks out
   Endurance

   Long, steady rides in zone 2, building the weekend long ride up to 4 hours. Dial in bike fit and on-bike fuelling.

2. 27 June 2027 → 24 July 2027 · 7 to 4 weeks out
   Climbing and threshold

   8-20 minute climbing intervals near threshold and rides with race-like elevation. Check your gearing: hold at least 70-80 rpm on the climbs.

3. 25 July 2027 → 7 August 2027 · 3 to 2 weeks out
   Simulation

   One ride close to race length with race-day fuelling plan, bike and kit.

4. 8 August 2027 → 15 August 2027 · last week
   Taper

   Short rides with a few efforts, bike serviced and tyres checked. Rest and carbs in the last two days.
